Susan Wyant, Pharm.D.
Dr. Wyant provides a wide range of experience to assist pharmaceutical company clients in market research, business planning, and strategic direction. She offers expertise in quantitative and qualitative research methodologies, and has extensive experience in moderating focus groups and conducting in-depth interviews with healthcare professionals (physicians, pharmacists, nurses) and consumers/patients in all therapeutic categories. Dr. Wyant is responsible for research plan design, implementation and analysis for a wide variety of market research projects. Dr. Wyant’s primary focus at the current time is on new product development, particularly in therapeutic areas that are highly technical and/or clinically complex, such as oncology, hematology, immunology and infectious diseases, and metabolic disorders. In addition to assisting pharmaceutical companies, Dr. Wyant has also served as a consultant to several health-related organizations, including the American Pharmaceutical Association (APhA) and the National Pharmaceutical Council (NPC). Dr. Wyant currently holds the position of Assistant Clinical Professor at the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Pharmacy and Shenandoah University School of Pharmacy.
Barbara Roland, MBA

Ms. Roland has extensive experience in market research methodologies across both professional and consumer audiences. Consulting services include design, implementation, and analysis of qualitative and quantitative primary marketing research projects addressing all aspects of product development and marketing. Ms. Roland has extensive experience in qualitative research methodologies including moderating focus groups and conducting indepth interviews (telephone and in-person) with a variety of healthcare audiences including physicians, pharmacists, nurses, and managed care representatives. Ms. Roland is experienced in multivariate analysis of quantitative studies, including Chi-square analysis, regression analysis, factor analysis, conjoint studies, and perceptual mapping. Ms. Roland is experienced in virtually all therapeutic areas. Ms. Roland offers particular expertise in conducting consumer research regarding health-related topics.
Ms. Roland has a B.A. degree in Psychology from Johns Hopkins University and an M.B.A. from the University of Maryland. She has over 25 years experience in Market Research, with more than 20 years experience specific to Pharma/Healthcare.
Barbara Jones, BS
Vice President, Business Intelligence
Ms. Jones has more than 20 years experience in pharmaceutical consulting specializing in business intelligence. Ms. Jones is responsible for The Dominion Group BI Division and all BI programs. The Division continues to expand areas of therapeutic coverage through industry networking including opinion leaders and clinical investigators from various therapeutic areas. Ms. Jones oversees all on-site intelligence gathering conducted at industry conferences. Ms. Jones has full knowledge of the BI techniques and procedures to build and profile comprehensive business maps, pipeline analysis, business R&D programs, and generic market entries.
Kathleen Farmer, MBA

Since receiving an MBA in 1997, Ms. Farmer has been responsible for providing market research services to various health-related clients. As Senior Project Director with The Dominion Group, Ms. Farmer is responsible for research plan design and implementation for pharmaceutical company clients including: development of instruments; implementing and conducting primary market research including in-depth personal interviews and focus groups; analyzing findings; and preparing detailed research reports. Ms. Farmer’s additional marketing experience includes practice marketing consulting to several practices affiliated with a healthcare management services organization. In addition, Ms. Farmer has served as a consultant to healthcare practices to provide risk management and regulatory compliance evaluations. She also provided training in these areas to several thousand healthcare personnel and was a featured speaker at professional meetings and conferences throughout the eastern United States
Permelia Mossburg, MBA
Senior Project Manager
Ms. Mossburg is responsible for developing research plans and instruments, conducting in-depth interviews, analyzing findings and preparing detailed research reports for a variety of market research projects. She has experience in both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies. Ms. Mossburg has served as both a corporate and consulting marketing research professional to the life sciences research products and pharmaceutical industries. Ms. Mossburg’s professional experience has given her an extensive understanding of the lifecycle of a pharmaceutical product, from drug discovery into pre-clinical and clinical trials to marketing. Ms. Mossburg also has special expertise in third-party coverage issues and reimbursement by managed care organizations.
Ms. McLaughlin joined The Dominion Group in 2003 and has over 10 years of consulting experience in strategic planning, communications and advertising, and marketing research. Ms. McLaughlin has conducted hundreds of in-depth interviews in the healthcare arena, including key opinion leaders and executives of leading U.S. and European pharmaceutical firms. Ms. McLaughlin’s particular interests within the pharmaceutical industry include oncology, neurology, psychiatry, and health and wellness. Ms. McLaughlin has expertise in qualitative methodologies that uncover the underlying emotional drivers behind consumer and business decision making, and is a Cambridge-trained focus group moderator. Her background includes several years at major Los Angeles advertising agencies Grey Advertising and Dailey & Associates, where she helped to refine the role of the Account Planner as the “voice of the consumer” within the agency. Ms. McLaughlin graduated with a degree in Advertising from the School of Communications at the University of Texas at Austin.
